In today's session we discussed at greater length the document analysis acronym with examples of what each would be given a sample document. We also watched an informative video about the AP testing process in 3 weeks (May 21). Another HIPP analysis was assigned on the Manchester & Industrialization DBQ from 2002, as well as the essay. Both are due Monday, May 4th (may it be with you...). See you again on the 6th (...and its revenge). I hope you enjoyed the Star Wars references! See you next week! Lantz out.
Today we caught up and discussed the format of the exam. There was a bit of technical difficulty at the beginning, but that got figured out.
- HIPP analysis was assigned for the 2007 DBQ portion of the exam to be collected on Canvas by next Monday. - We discussed what HIPP stands for with a particular focus on Point of View We will meet again at 10am next Monday, and I hope to see you there! After Spring Break, we'll convene using Google Meets. I'll send out the password and meeting ID to your p12 email accounts 10-15 minutes prior to the session. Enjoy the rest of your break! Since the AP test, we've been researching characters and preparing for the upcoming Trial of Humanity.
Today we worked for 30 minutes on the spider web assignment due at the end of the week. We also spent time drawing symbols that represent various aspects of the SPICE categories in units 1 & 2.
Today we watched a clip from the movie 'Moscow on the Hudson' to illustrate the differences between market and command economic systems. We also viewed the Crash Course clip about the foundations of Chinese communism and the two Chinese revolutions. Finally, we applied the key features of the Chinese cultural revolution to modern day scenarios.
Your homework is to read chapter 22 in the Strayer text. Your quiz over that material will be the first school day after Spring break.
This week please read chapter 21. The quiz will be in two weeks. Enjoy!
